Lori’s Truth – March awareness
March is Amyloidosis Awareness Month and the Amyloidosis Foundation is involved in a variety of efforts to help others learn about this rare disease which is very difficult to diagnose. A key part of that effort is their “Light the Night for Amyloidosis” campaign which encourages people to light up their porch, front entrance area, etc. with a red light bulb. In addition, they recruit U.S. Landmarks for participation too.
As many of you know, Lori’s Truth was established to honor Lori Galvin, who passed away from Amyloidosis in July of 2016. This cause is close to our hearts and we are proud to announce that we have coordinated the participation of the City of New Britain in this program again this year. So, the Beehive Bridge in New Britain will be lit up red on three consecutive nights from March 10-12th!
What can you do if you would like to support:
- Purchase a light bulb from the Amyloidosis Foundation and display it outside your home.
- Take a drive to see the Beehive Bridge this weekend and make it a family night out in New Britain.
- Consider donating to the Amyloidosis Foundation or Lori’s Truth
Thank you for the support,
Lori’s Truth
